I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS). This means I have been trained to a high standard and have regularly updated my knowledge and skills through Continued Professional Development (CPD). It also means that I adhere to the Ethical Standards developed by the BPS. I have an Honours Degree in Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Since qualifying I have also completed a Certificate in Systemic Practice with Families and Couples from the Institute of Family Therapy and the Child Clinical Neuropsychology course from the Division of Neuropsychology, part of the BPS. This is in addition to many other shorter courses and conferences. I hold an Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check certificate which is a requirement for people working regularly with children. Since qualifying in 1999, I have worked in the NHS with children and families with a wide range of concerns and difficulties. These include children and families with:
